Powerful Turbo Engine
The standard 1.4L MultiAir® Turbo engine on the FIAT® 124 Spider is highly responsive, with twin intercoolers, 16 valves, a fresh-air induction system and dual stainless steel exhaust tips. It delivers 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels, achieving peak power and torque at very low RPMs. The 1.4L MultiAir Turbo engine on the FIAT 124 Spider Abarth is teamed with the six-speed manual transmission. It delivers 164 horsepower and includes chrome sport-tuned quad exhaust tips.
Six-Speed Transmission
All FIAT,® 124 Spider models include a standard six-speed manual transmission with short-throw shifter. It optimizes clutch operation for responsive driving characteristics. The ergonomically positioned clutch pedal requires only a light amount of force, enabling precise control over the rate of acceleration. When equipped with the manual transmission, the 2018 FIAT 124 Spider gets a manufacturer estimated 35 highway mpg —impressive.

The FIAT® 124 Spider Abarth features a Bilstein® Performance Suspension with a front strut tower brace for exceptional handling. Shock absorbers help deliver maximum grip. Stiff front and rear spring rates minimize body roll, and a rear stabilizer bar helps increase cornering grip. Nearly 50/50 weight distribution gives you the confidence of control and a smooth, balanced ride.
16-Inch & 17-Inch Aluminum Wheels
Performance and style are beautiful together. The 16-inch painted silver aluminum wheels with 195/50R16 three-season performance tires are standard on the FIAT® 124 Spider Classica. The Lusso features 17-inch premium aluminum wheels painted silver and 205/45R17 three-season performance tires. The Abarth carries 17-inch gunmetal painted aluminum wheels.

Manual Soft Top
When driving with the top down and windows wide open, wind is carried high over your head and guided toward the rear. When the top is up, an aluminum header adds to a taut, smooth surface, resulting in a beautiful roofline and excellent sound insulation.
Halogen Headlamps & LED Taillamps
Halogen Projector Headlamps produce a wide light pattern spread, enhancing visibility across a broad area of road. LED taillamps provide clear, bright light, making vehicles easier to spot in the dark by drivers following behind. The LED taillamps don't require a filament, making them highly durable and less susceptible to breakage to better withstand harsh road conditions.

The grip design on the leather-wrapped steering wheel on the FIAT® 124 Spider Classica and Lusso makes hand-over-hand turning a smooth operation. Integrated audio and speed controls are recessed to avoid interfering with steering maneuvers.The FIAT 124 Spider Abarth features a sport steering wheel wrapped in premium-grained leather.
Seat Yourself
The interior of the FIAT® 124 Spider Abarth features a performance-inspired cockpit. Heated premium leather and microfiber sport seats come with red accent stitching and are ergonomically designed to ensure a comfortable fit. Lusso models include heated premium leather-trimmed seats in black or saddle, while Classica models offer premium cloth seats in black.
Bose® Nine-Speaker Audio System

Blind Spot Monitoring And Rear Cross Path Detection
The available Blind Spot Monitoring System helps you make safer lane changes by alerting you when a vehicle enters your blind-spot zone. Sensors scan approximately one lane over on each side. When a vehicle is detected in the blind spot zone, an icon lights up in the exterior mirror. Available Rear Cross Path Detection helps you back out of parking spaces when your side views are blocked. When your vehicle moves in reverse, a warning will sound and an icon in the exterior mirror will alert you if a vehicle or object crosses your path.
Parking Assistance
Standard on the FIAT® 124 Spider Lusso and Abarth and available on Classica, the ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera displays a wide-angle view of the area behind the vehicle on the available FIAT Connect 7.0 touchscreen when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. Gridlines on the touchscreen help you interpret distance in tight spaces. That means less stress when parking.
Steel Safety Frame
All FIAT® 124 Spider models deliver exceptional peace of mind. The steel safety frame includes crumple zones designed to help absorb energy in the event of a collision and redirect it away from passengers. The occupant protection system includes four airbags that help reduce the chance of injury.
