The fun of the FIAT® 500 is powered by a mechanical marvel. On the Pop and Lounge, the standard 1.4L MultiAir® Turbo 16-valve four-cylinder engine coupled with an efficient final-drive gear ratio delivers up to 135 horsepower, 150 pound-feet of torque and excellent fuel economy. With fuel economy ratings of up to 28 city/33 highway mpg, the FIAT 500 goes the extra mile and more. That means more fuel bang for your buck and all the pure driving pleasure you love.
A Rebel At Heart
The standard 1.4L MultiAir® Turbo engine on the FIAT® 500 Abarth provides an impressive 160 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque (157 horsepower and 183 pound-feet of torque with the available automatic transmission). The two intercoolers on the FIAT® 500 Abarth create cooler, densely charged air for maximum performance out of the forced induction engine. The dual bright exhaust tips enhance the style and power of the FIAT® 500 Abarth by maximizing the amount of air that can be released from the engine.
Transmissions
It’s all about control. Shift with precision, accelerate with authority and brake quickly with the responsive five-speed manual transmission—standard on all models. The six-speed automatic transmission—available on all models—lets you experience excellent performance. It provides responsive full-throttle launches, quick wide-open-throttle upshifts and smooth two-step kick-down shifts.
Sport Mode
Sport Mode—available on all models—unleashes the full power of the turbo engines through linear throttle response, providing specific engine calibrations to help maximize horsepower and torque. It is especially useful when driving on twisty roads where more precise handling is desired.

Performance Brakes
The brake system on the FIAT® 500 Abarth includes large diameter ventilated front rotors, solid rear rotors, Rosso (red) painted single-position front and rear calipers and semimetallic brake linings. The Pop and Lounge models also feature ventilated front rotors, solid rear rotors and single-piston calipers in their four-wheel disc antilock brake system.

The circular Bifunctional Halogen Projector Headlamps and Daytime Running Lamps help you see clearly with the latest high-tech bulbs. Style and functionality come into play with the fog lamps on the FIAT® 500. Fog lamps help prevent light from reflecting off water droplets or snow, which typically increases visibility problems.

Up front, the bucket seats on Pop and Lounge models are designed for comfort and include Argento (silver) accent stitching, on Pop and standard leather trim on Lounge, while the chrome shift knob adds a sleek touch. In back, the 50/50 split-folding rear seat adds even more cargo room to the surprisingly spacious interior.
A Wicked Interior
A testament to its performance capabilities, the turbo gauge on the FIAT 500® Abarth monitors how much power the engine is generating. Abarth models feature striking Rosso (red) accent stitching on both the premium cloth or available heated leather-trimmed front seats. And to lock down the look, a performance-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel comes standard.
One Comfy Cabin
You can maintain a comfortable cabin temperature year-round with available Automatic Temperature Control (ATC). Set the temperature once and ATC will warm or cool the interior of your FIAT® 500 continuously, no matter what the temperature is outside.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Electronic Stability Control
The FIAT® 500 is equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
